Cavachon Puppy Tricolor Girl 12 or so pounds grown | Mom’s Favorite | (Don’t tell anyone!)

Oh, this little bundle has my heart (along with her siblings, I must admit!). A mushy girl, she’ll play with the best of them, but oh, she’s a cuddler extraordinaire; she’ll curl herself up in a little ball and drift off to sleep in your lap as long as you’ll hold her. Of course, she’ll have the zoomies every afternoon just to keep things interesting, but there’s a soft, affectionate side to her that is truly lovely.

So it’s really hard not to have favorites, but it’s what I do as a dog breeder; it’s like a dog show. You can stand at ringside and look at all the Cockers in the ring and wonder how the judge can pick a winner when they all look so much alike.

Ah, but my dear Puppy Peeps, there are huge differences to the trained eye, and yes, pricing is often simply a matter of which puppies are the closest to the dog breeder’s vision of perfection. For example, there are several really delightful Tricolors, but Festus is marked a bit less than his stunning littermates because he’s bordering on being rather elephant-sized in the Cavachon world. He’s otherwise a really beautiful puppy, but leaning hard toward about 25 pounds grown 😳

Fancy Pants, Hot Lips (LOVE that name, lol), and Tater, on the other hand, are slightly less sizey and perfectly marked and have the most decidedly precious teddy bear faces and expressions. I could go on and on about the good points: full muzzles with a nice rounded finish, beautiful dark eyes, well-set ears, wonderful confirmation etc etc.

Ah, but most important to the Puppy Seeker AND to this dog breeder/dog lover? Yes, the cuteness factor is always important, but there is just something intangible that transcends looks, a puppy just gazes out of the screen and plants him or herself firmly in the heart of the person looking on and trying to choose between several equally charming puppies. I don’t understand it, how you can just look into a puppy’s eyes on a website and suddenly be utterly and completely smitten.
